Good Morning Class!
You will be using the internet to publish your work and ideas. From here, you can show friends and family the work you are producing in the classroom. This space is for your use to explore the history and literature that surrounds the people who were enslaved during the 19th century.
You are required to write one, single-spaced page depicting the life of someone who was enslaved during this time period. You will write a fictional personal narrative of what it was like to live owned by someone. Your narrative must be size 12 font, Times New Roman, and single-spaced. You will draft your narrative in Microsoft Word and copy it into this blog site to be published. It is a requirement that you have read Frederick Douglas's narrative as well as other narratives from at least two other slaves. This will give you a backgound and an idea of what to write about. There are links directly on this page to guide you. You will be able to access this site at home, so if you wish to work on it out of school you are more than welcome to.
Grading will be based on the following:
Grammar and Punctuation 25%
Creativity 25%
Accurate portrayal of time period 50%
